TRENTON, N.J., Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Chris Christie was noncommittal when asked in a television interview Tuesday if he would serve a full term as New Jersey governor if re-elected next week.
The Republican incumbent and possible 2016 presidential candidate told ABC News, "I'm committed to being the best governor New Jersey can have for as long as I can possibly do it."

He added, after pointing out neither he nor the interviewer "has a crystal ball," that "my current intention is to spend four [more] years [as governor], but we'll see what happens."
Polls show Christie running ahead of his Democratic opponent, state Sen. Barbara Buono. His term as governor, if he wins re-election, would run until the end of 2017.
