BOSTON, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Friends and relatives of three men killed in 2011 say they are disturbed by news that one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects may have been involved.

People who knew the victims say they continue to be dissatisfied by information provided by law enforcement agencies about the slashing deaths in a Waltham, Mass., apartment, The Boston Globe reported Thursday.

Near the end of a routine 23-page report filed in court Monday, federal prosecutors revealed Ibrahim Todashev, a friend of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, told investigators Tsarnaez helped kill Rafael M. Teken, Erik H. Weissman and Brendan H. Mess.

Mess attended school with Tsarnaev and worked out with him.

Police said all three of the men were known drug dealers.

"The fact that they're not being more forthcoming with us makes you wonder whether there's more information out there," said a friend of Teken.

"I think there's way more to it," said a friend of Mess.

The friends asked not to be identified out of concern that other persons may also have participated in the triple slaying.

Todashev was killed in May during an interview with FBI agents. Tsarnaev was killed during a gun battle with police a few days after bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three people and injuring more than 260.

Police have refused to answer questions about the triple homicide or Todashev's death. Florida authorities have not released Todashev's autopsy results.
