Woman dies following flight from Fort Lauderdale to Boston

BOSTON, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- A young Boston-area woman died following a flight from Florida to Logan International Airport, officials said.

The flight crew said the woman, a 24-year-old Quincy, Mass., resident, became ill Monday after boarding Spirit Airlines Flight 610 in Fort Lauderdale. In a statement to UPI, Spirit said the woman died after landing at Logan. She was pronounced dead about 1:30 p.m.

A spokesman for Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley said an autopsy was scheduled to determine the cause of death. He said the woman appeared to have died of natural causes.

The woman's name was not released.
