Tropical Storm Lorenzo churns in Atlantic Ocean

MIAMI, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Tropical Storm Lorenzo churned in the Atlantic Ocean, more than 700 miles east of Bermuda Tuesday, weather forecasters said.

Lorenzo, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph, was about 725 miles east-southeast of Bermuda, moving east-northeast at 8 mph, the National Hurricane Center said in its 5 a.m. EDT advisory.

No coastal watches or warnings were in effect.

Lorenzo was expected to maintain an east-northeasterly path through Wednesday followed by a turn to the northeast Thursday, forecasters said.

Lorenzo's strength was expected to change little during the next 48 hours.
