2 teenage girls charged with stalking in Florida cyberbullying case

BARLOW, Fla., Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Two girls in Florida have been charged with the aggravated stalking of Rebecca Sedwick, allegedly driven to suicide by online bullies, police said.

A spokeswoman for the Polk County sheriff's department said the girls, one 12 and the other 14, have been arrested, the Orlando [Fla.] Sentinel reported.

Rebecca, 12, jumped to her death at an abandoned cement factory on Sept. 9. Sheriff Grady Judd said soon after that 15 girls were under investigation.

"Girls can get pretty catty as kids," Judd told reporters on Sept. 12. "The system cannot manage all that cattiness. ... I truly believe the school system tried but we don't live in a perfect world."
