Bikers chase, beat NYC man after accident

NEW YORK, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- New York police said a wild chase ended in undetermined injuries when a motorcycle gang chased down the driver of an SUV after an accident.

The scene, captured on video by a helmet camera mounted on one of the motorcyclists, shows a large group of bikers driving on Henry Hudson Parkway in Manhattan Sunday afternoon. The bikers surround a black Range Rover driving in the center lane and slow down. The driver of the SUV, an unidentified male, strikes one of the motorcycles accidentally causing the entire group to stop and block the highway near 12th Avenue, The New York Times reported.

Angered by the accident, several of the bikers begin slamming on the man's black Range Rover, which was also carrying his wife and young child.

The SUV driver can be seen punching the gas and driving at several bikers. He rolled over at least one motorcycle though police said it was unclear if any people were hit.

The bikers then gave chase down the highway. The SUV driver was forced to stop at one point near the Washington Bridge but evaded the bikers and exited the highway in 178th Street in Washington Heights where the bikers cornered the man's car, hauled him out and beat him in front of his family.
