WASHINGTON, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- The U.S. Treasury Department said Wednesday it has banned Americans from doing business with two men from Indonesia associated with terrorist groups.

The designation of Said Ahmad Sungkar and Afif Abdul Majid prohibits U.S. citizens from engaging in transactions with them, and freezes any assets two may have that are subject to U.S. jurisdiction.

Sungkar has been involved in fundraising efforts supporting terrorist groups Jemaah Islamiya and Jemmah Anshorut Tauhid in Indonesia. Majid is a Jemmah Anshorut Tauhid leader and trainer, the statement said.
