LAWRENCE, N.J., Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Police in New Jersey said they seized 33 grams of cocaine after raiding a pizza shop and the two owners' homes after a three-month investigation.
The Mercer County Special Investigations Unit raided Nino's Trattoria & Pizzeria in Lawrence Friday after receiving multiple complaints of drugs being sold out of the business, The Times of Trenton reported.
Inside, police allegedly found cocaine packaged for sale, a loaded handgun and drug money.
Police also raided homes belonging to two brothers who own the pizza shop, Angelo Esposito, 49, and David Esposito, 41. Cocaine, firearms, money and other distribution tools were seized. Angelo Esposito's wife, Pamela Nalbone-Esposito, was also arrested, police said.
Three vehicles belonging to the suspects were seized as drug proceeds.
The total of the cocaine seized in the three raids was about $3,000, police said.
Angelo Esposito was charged with drug possession with intent to distribute and weapons possession. He was released on $75,000 bail.
David Esposito was released after posting $100,000 bail on the same charges.
Pamela Nalbone-Esposito was charged with cocaine and marijuana possession. She was released on her own recognizance.
