CHILMARK, Mass., Aug. 17 (UPI) -- President Obama golfed with comedic writer-actor Larry David Saturday on Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts.

Also part of Obama's foursome at Farm Neck Golf Club were Glen Hutchins and Ron Kirk, the White House said. The 5-hour outing was the fifth of the president's vacation, though he played just nine holes Thursday instead of 18.

In the evening, the first family drove from their rented vacation home in Chilmark to Edgartown, where they dined at the Boathouse Club, the White House said. A large crowd of people cheered them as they exited the restaurant.

In the morning, the president and his family spent about 2 1/2 hours on a private beach on the south side of the island, midway between West Tisbury and Edgartown.

The Obamas are to travel via Marine One from Martha's Vineyard to Cape Cod Coast Guard Air Station in Massachusetts Sunday.

The family will depart Cape Cod for Washington, D.C., in the evening.
