PAHRUMP, Nev., Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Police said Wednesday they found nearly 400 marijuana plants at the Pahrump, Nev., home of Heidi Fleiss, who gained infamy as the "Hollywood madam."

Nye County Sheriff's officials said an officer went to Fleiss' home Wednesday to search for a woman wanted on arrest warrants.

Noticing the door to Fleiss' home was open, the officer entered the home and found 158 marijuana plants in the backyard, the Las Vegas Sun reported.

After searching the entire residence and guesthouse, police found another 234 marijuana plants, two grow lights and chemicals used to grow marijuana, the newspaper said.

Fleiss said she was growing the plants to sell to a cooperative in Las Vegas and that she planned to get a license to grow marijuana.

She was charged with one count of possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana over one ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a residence where drugs are sold and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act, the Sun reported.

Fleiss wasn't arrested because she cooperated with the investigation, police said.
