Lady Gaga's 'Applause' audio gets nearly 3M hits on YouTube

NEW YORK, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- The audio for U.S. pop star Lady Gaga's latest single "Applause" has gotten nearly 3 million hits since it was posted on YouTube Monday.

The song is the first released from her forthcoming album "ARTPOP," which is available for pre-order now on iTunes and set for release Nov. 11 through Streamline/Interscope Records.

Lady Gaga is to perform "Applause" for the first time live at the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony in Brooklyn, N.Y., Aug. 25.
