EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Aug. 5 (UPI) -- A corporate jet overshot a runway at a suburban Minneapolis airport Monday, plowed through a fence and came to rest on a roadway, authorities said.
No one was injured in the 8:50 a.m. CDT accident at Flying Cloud Airport in Eden Prairie, Minn., the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.
Metropolitan Airports Commission spokeswoman Melissa Scovronski told the newspaper it hadn't been determined what caused the twin-engine jet to wind up on Flying Cloud Drive.
Two crew members were the only occupants of the seven-passenger Embraer Phenom 300, said a spokeswoman for the owner, Flight Options of Cleveland.
The accident kept the road closed until 2:45 p.m., but flights in and out of the airport resumed quickly.
While authorities had not said where the flight originated, an aviation tracking service said it took off from Pittsburgh International Airport and was scheduled for an 8:14 a.m. arrival, the newspaper said.
