Universal Studios Florida spokesman Tom Schroder described the injury as minor and said the woman returned to the park after treatment.

Staff was "continuing to work on the attraction," Schroder said Friday, but he did not indicate when the ride might resume operation.

The ride ascends straight up 17 stories before dropping to the ground, reaching speeds of as much as 65 mph, the park website says.
