BOSTON, July 27 (UPI) -- Teresa Heinz Kerry was released from a Boston hospital Saturday where she was treated for a seizure, a spokesman for Secretary of State John Kerry said.
Heinz Kerry, 74, spent nearly three weeks at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital after suffering a seizure at the couple's home on Nantucket.
Glen Johnson, spokesman for the secretary of state, said Heinz Kerry is expected to make a full recovery at home after some out-patient treatment, The Boston Globe reported.
Heinz Kerry gushed about the level of care she received.
"It was amazing, a miracle," she said in the statement. "They are the kindest people, who love what they do and do it superbly well."
The statement said the noted philanthropist is back to her routine activities and will resume her civics work after "a period of rest," the Globe said.
John Kerry also complimented the hospital's staff.
"I've always known Massachusetts is blessed to have some of the greatest healthcare in the world, but we've just lived it, and are grateful to all," he said in the statement.
