Nanny cam attack suspect arrested in New Jersey

Authorities in Essex County, N.J., arrested a 42-year-old man wanted in a home invasion attack on a woman that was caught by the family's nanny cam.

Officials charged Shawn Custis with attempted murder, robbery, burglary and child endangerment Friday, The Christian Science Monitor reported.

He allegedly attacked a Millburn, N.J., woman as her 3-year-old daughter watched, cowering on the family's couch in the living room.

In the video, the attacker can be seen punching and kicking the woman before throwing her down a flight of stairs.

Authorities believe she was knocked unconscious when she was tossed down the stairs. When she woke up, she called police and was treated at a hospital for a concussion, bruises, chipped teeth and cuts around her mouth that required stitches.

Anthony Ambrose, the county chief of detectives said Custis has been transported to an undisclosed location in New Jersey
