Women arrested after allegedly driving with children on hood of car

DUNEDIN, Fla., June 10 (UPI) -- Two young women were arrested in Florida after allegedly riding around a parking lot with two screaming children on the hood of their car, police said.

The women, identified as Jessica Bowers, 18, and Hallie Gray, 19, were allegedly seen pulling the stunt at about 1:55 a.m. Sunday in a laundromat parking lot in Dunedin, the Tampa Bay (Fla.) Times reported.

The children, whose ages were not released, were screaming so loudly that patrons inside an establishment next door to the laundromat could hear them, police said.

Police said Bowers and the children were inside the laundromat and Gray was in the car when officers arrived.

Bowers and Gray were arrested. Both face two felony charges of child abuse. Gray also faces a charge of resisting arrest.
