Train derails in Denair, Calif.; no injuries reported

DENAIR, Calif., June 3 (UPI) -- No injuries were reported after a freight train derailed in Denair, Calif., officials said.

About 10 of the train's cars derail Sunday at 4:55 p.m., The Modesto Bee reported.

Two people were on the train at the time of the derailment, the the engineer and conductor, neither of whom were injured, BNSF Railway spokeswoman Lena Kent said.

Kent said crews were working to clear and repair the tracks by Monday afternoon.

So far, investigators have not yet determined what caused the train to derail, Kent said.
