Two killed in plane crash near Robins Air Force Base, Ga.

MACON, Ga., May 27 (UPI) -- Two people were killed Monday when a Piper PA-32 plane flying from Florida to South Carolina crashed in Bibb County, Ga., officials said.

The single-engine plane went down about 6:40 p.m. in a swampy area near Robins Air Force Base, WYFF-TV, Greenville, S.C., reported. A bulldozer was brought in to clear a path to the crash site.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones identified the two men aboard the plane who died as Anthony Caveza, 58, and Julius Gilreath, 71, both of Greenville.

Autopsies were scheduled for Wednesday.
