Virginia high school student charged with making bomb threat

SUFFOLK, Va., May 15 (UPI) -- A student was arrested for allegedly threatening to bomb his high school in Suffolk, Va., police said Wednesday.

Abdul Dshawn Dixon, 20, an 11th grader, allegedly made the threat against King's Fork High School Tuesday, the Hampton Roads Daily Press reported.

Police said in a release Dixon is charged with threat to bomb, a class 5 felony, the newspaper said.

Police spokeswoman Diana Klink said a school administrator found a threat written on the wall in a boy's bathroom.

The school was not evacuated as a result of the threat, she said.

Klink said the bomb threat was one of several reported in recent weeks at local middle and high schools.
