HONOLULU, May 9 (UPI) -- A helicopter crashed in a busy street in downtown Honolulu, but no one was seriously injured, officials said.
The pilot was flying over Honolulu about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday taking photographs when the helicopter lost power.
People on the street saw the aircraft coming toward them, and once on the ground, it skidded about 150 feet before crashing into a parked car, officials said.
No one on the ground was injured, and the pilot's 71-year-old passenger only needed a bandage, KHON-TV, Honolulu, reported.
The helicopter and the car were badly damaged, KHON-TV reported.
The Federal Aviation Administration removed the wreckage Wednesday evening and took it to a secure location to look it over as part of the investigation, KHON-TV said.
