CHARLESTON, S.C., May 8 (UPI) -- A Southwest Airlines flight made an emergency landing in South Carolina after three passengers became unruly, officials said.
The flight originated in Orlando, Fla., and was en route to Providence, R.I., Tuesday night when it made an emergency landing at the Charleston International Airport, the Charleston County Aviation Authority said.
Pilots grounded the plane after three passengers became disruptive and refused to listen to the flight crew, WCSC-TV, Charleston, reported.
Aviation Authority Police officers, the FBI and the Homeland Security Federal Air Marshal Service removed the three passengers from the plane, CBS News reported.
The flight, with 134 passengers and five crew members, continued after midnight, WCSC said.
No one was injured in the confrontation.
