MONTEVIDEO, Minn., May 6 (UPI) -- A western Minnesota man was arrested after the FBI said it raided his home and found Molotov cocktails, suspected pipe bombs and guns.
The FBI announced Monday it is confident a "terror attack was discovered and subsequently thwarted" in the arrest of Buford "Bucky" Rogers, 24, at his mobile home in Montevideo, Minn., Sunday.
Rogers was charged Friday with being a felon in possession of a fire arm. He has a previous conviction for felony burglary, KMSP-TV, Minneapolis/St. Paul, reported Monday.
"My son knew him for a short period of time. He talked about white supremacist stuff. I didn't want (my son) hanging around with him," said Bryan Best, a neighbor in Rogers' mobile home park.
Postings on Rogers' Facebook page made reference to government authorities' confiscation of guns, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported Monday.
"Ever one better get your guns ready cuz there comeing FEMA," read one profanity-laced entry, the newspaper noted.
J. Christopher Warrener, the FBI's special agent in Minneapolis, said the arrest prevented "a potential tragedy in Montevideo."
