Texas Gov. Rick Perry to be grandfather

AUSTIN, Texas, April 29 (UPI) -- Texas Gov. Rick Perry announced he and his wife, Anita, will soon become grandparents.

Perry made the announcement during a question-and-answer session with Texas Disposal Systems' Jim Gregory at the Texas State Prayer Breakfast, the San Antonio Express-News reported Monday.

The governor said his son Griffin and wife Meredith are expecting the baby in June and they do not yet know whether it will be a boy or girl.

"We're just having a baby," Perry said. "It's going to change my life forever."
