Lindsey Lowe gets concurrent life sentences for killing newborn twins

GALLATIN, Tenn., April 26 (UPI) -- A judge in Sumner County, Tenn., Friday sentenced Lindsey Lowe to two concurrent life sentences for murdering her newborn twin boys.

Lowe, 26, was convicted in March of two counts each of first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse in the 2011 killings of her sons.

Sumner County Criminal Court Judge Dee David Gay Friday ruled the automatic life sentences for each murder would be served concurrently, The (Nashville) Tennessean reported.

Lowe received an additional 25 years for the aggravated child abuse convictions. She killed the twins in her parents' bathroom.
