KAUFMAN, Texas, April 17 (UPI) -- The wife of a former justice of the peace was charged Wednesday in the murders of two Texas prosecutors and the wife of one of them, officials say.
Kim Williams has been charged with capital murder and is being held on $10 million bond in the Kaufman County jail.
The charges are linked to the deaths of District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife Cynthia, who were shot in their home March 30. Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse was shot and killed Jan. 31 as he walked to the county courthouse.
Eric Williams is being held on $3 million bond on the threat charge. Authorities have said they expect to file capital murder charges against him.
Officials believe the former justice of the peace bore a grudge against McLelland and Hasse, who prosecuted him in 2012 for stealing three computer monitors.
