Jenna Bush Hager gives birth to daughter 'Mila'

HOUSTON, April 15 (UPI) -- Jenna Bush Hager gave birth to a daughter this weekend, making grandparents of former U.S. President George W. Bush and his wife Laura, the Bushes announced.

The former president said Sunday his daughter gave birth to her first child, Margaret Laura "Mila" Hager, Saturday in New York City, KHOU-TV, Houston reported. The baby is named after her grandmothers.

Bush Hager, who with her twin sister Barbara are grandchildren of former President George H.W. Bush, is a correspondent on the "Today" show and is married to Henry Hager, the son of John H. Hager, a longtime Republican politician from Virginia.

"We met our beautiful granddaughter today. Jenna and Mila are healthy. And our family is elated," George W. Bush said.
