Carville wants Hillary in presidential bid

WASHINGTON, April 4 (UPI) -- Democratic strategist James Carville has added his support to a super PAC dedicated to attracting Hillary Clinton into the 2016 presidential race.

Carville, who managed Bill Clinton's 1992 campaign, sent an email to the distribution list for the group Ready for Hillary, asking for others to add their support, CNN reported Thursday.

Carville said he does not have an official capacity with the political action committee, but said "I'd like to see her run," The Washington Post reported.

"We need to convert the hunger that's out there for Hillary's candidacy into a real grassroots organization," Carville said in the email.

Clinton lost her 2008 bid to President Obama.
