SAN ANTONIO, April 3 (UPI) -- A Texas man, who said he has "full-blown AIDS," was caught masturbating while watching child pornography when police raided his apartment, officials said.
Carlos Sanchez, 51, of San Antonio, was arrested Friday on a charge of distributing child pornography, which carries a sentence of up to 20 years in federal prison, the San Antonio Express-News reported.
Sanchez was scheduled for a bond hearing in federal court.
Court records indicate Sanchez admitted he had used numerous file-sharing networks to distribute and receive child pornography since 1999.
In addition to the admission about having AIDS, "Mr. Sanchez informed interviewers that he is intentionally having unprotected sex with random males that he meets in the local parks. Mr. Sanchez further stated that he not only peruses the local parks for male sexual partners but also purchases cocaine and marijuana while there."
Police said Sanchez told them the night before the raid, he had gone to a park to buy cocaine but couldn't find someone to have sex with. He said he went to another park, where he picked up a man and took him to his apartment for sex.
