Guard arrested for weed possession

FORT LEE, N.J., March 21 (UPI) -- A security guard working on the New Jersey side of the George Washington Bridge was arrested for allegedly smoking marijuana on the job, officials said.

Sami Omar, 26, was at his post at the New Jersey tower of the bridge Wednesday when a Port Authority police officer noticed the smell of marijuana, the New York Daily News reported.

When questioned about the smell, Omar allegedly said, "It must be a passing skunk."

The suspect was handcuffed and searched. Police allegedly found pot on Omar and arrested him on several charges, including the possession of marijuana.
