Houston jail fugitive sought by police

HOUSTON, March 18 (UPI) -- Houston-area police are looking for an alleged bank robber who escaped from Montgomery County Jail during the weekend.

Britt Chadvurn Privatte, 40, faced charges in multiple jurisdictions for burglary, theft and bank robbery, the Houston Chronicle said Monday. He was discovered missing about 1 p.m. Sunday by jail officers. They said he may have scaled a wall in the jail's recreation area and cut through a fence to gain access to the jail's roof. How he escaped from there is unclear.
