Wife: Iran must help find my husband

NEW YORK, March 12 (UPI) -- The wife of a retired FBI agent kidnapped six years ago in Iran said she believes the Iranian government knows the whereabouts of her missing husband.

Christine Levinson told ABC News she plans to hold Iran to its latest promise to help find her husband Robert who disappeared on Iran's Kish island in 2007 while traveling as a private businessman.

She told ABC she doesn't know where her husband is now but she believes the Iranian government does.

Levinson in reference to comments reportedly made Monday by Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi who said his country would help find out what happened to the retired FBI agent.

She learned her husband was alive more than a year ago when a hostage video of him was posted on the Internet.

"Please help me get home," Robert Levinson said in the video. "Thirty-three years of service to the United States deserves something. Please help me."

Levinson, who turned 65 this week, suffers from diabetes.
