"We are seeking waiver in that case based upon the seriousness of the crimes," Deputy Marion County Prosecutor Denise Robinson said.

The teen's alleged accomplice, Sirquain Burr, 17, of Indianapolis was charged with murder and other crimes Tuesday. Burr was denied bail Wednesday.

Burr and the 15-year-old allegedly carried out several armed robberies Feb. 13 between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. They are also charged with shooting and wounding Rex Souter, 64, as he walked his dog and killing John Yingling, 38, as they attempted to rob him.

Later that morning, the two teenagers crashed a stolen Ford Explorer as they attempted to flee police.

Burr is also charged with earlier robberies.
