HOUSTON, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- A teenager found naked and bleeding outside a Houston-area movie theater said she was sexually assaulted by a man who dragged her into a wooded area.
Harris County Deputy Thomas Gilliland said the 16-year-old girl was discovered late Tuesday in the parking lot of the Cinemark theater in the northwestern part of the county. She told investigators she was walking in the area just before 11 p.m. when a man grabbed her, dragged her into the woods and then raped her and hit her with a hatchet.

The girl was taken to Memorial Hermann-The Texas Medical Center. Gilliland said doctors there expect her to survive her injuries.
