Alleged killer's art sells on eBay

MESA, Ariz., Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Drawings by Jodi Arias, who is on trial in Arizona for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death, are fetching hundreds of dollars on eBay, the website said.

Two drawings were posted on eBay -- one of actress Grace Kelly, the other of an unidentified female model -- and as of Tuesday, their bids were $300 and $405, respectively, ABC News reported.

Two more drawings of Frank Sinatra and Lucille Ball are waiting to be posted, the anonymous eBay user who posted the items, 0817soldierofchrist said.

"All the artwork has been hand drawn by Jodi while she has been incarcerated," said the owner of website jodiariasisinnocent.com, which has advertised the auction of the drawings.

The money earned from the sales will go to Arias and her family, descriptions of the items on eBay said.

"All profits go towards Jodi's family traveling expenses to the trial, other fees and of course money for Jodi so she can eat better food than what they serve in jail," the postings read.

Arias is on trial for allegedly killing Travis Alexander in June 2008. Prosecutors said she stalked him before stabbing him 27 times, cutting his throat and shooting him in the head.

Arias initially denied killing Alexander but confessed months after he was found dead in his Mesa, Ariz., home that she had killed him. She claims she acted in self-defense after he had been abusive to her.

Arias has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.
