SAN CARLOS, Calif., Jan. 13 (UPI) -- For the second time in six days, a pilot botched a landing at San Carlos Airport in California, officials said.

On Saturday, a 56-year-old Los Osos man failed to put his landing gear down when he landed his Mooney M20J aircraft into the airport, the Bay Area News Group reported.

The pilot, who was alone in the plane, was uninjured, but the landing caused damage to the plane's propeller and body, authorities said.

On Monday, a different pilot came in too fast on his landing and skidded off the tarmac, police said.

The aircraft rolled into some mud at the end of the runway. The pilot and a passenger were uninjured, police said.
