N.H. woman convicted of filming child porn

CONCORD, N.H., Jan. 11 (UPI) -- A New Hampshire woman was convicted of child pornography in a trial during which jurors saw videos of a girl, 14, having sex with the woman and two men.

A federal jury in Concord took less than an hour to find Lisa Biron, 43, guilty on eight counts, the Concord Monitor reported Friday.

Biron, a Manchester attorney, was convicted of taking the young girl to Canada in May 2012 with the intent to film child pornography, one count of possession of child pornography and six counts of producing the videos and images.

Prosecutors called only eight of 17 planned witnesses to testify. Two of those who testified were the men, 18 and 20, who were filmed having sex with the girl.

Videos shown during the trial showed the girl losing her virginity, having intercourse with the men and engaging in oral sex with Biron.

Defense attorney Jim Moir did not call his client or any other witnesses. He argued the government had indicted his client for the wrong crimes.

Moir said prosecutors had not shown Biron intended to film child pornography when she took the girl to Canada and the government had not shown the girl had been coerced.

Biron will be sentenced in April. She could receive 100 years in federal prison.
