PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 8 (UPI) -- An Oregon man faces charges including assault and kidnapping after police charged he used his dreadlocks to choke his girlfriend.
Portland police responding to a domestic violence report said a woman told them her boyfriend assaulted her and tried to choke her with his dreadlocks, KOIN-TV, Portland, reported.

Police found Caleb Grotberg, 32, in the neighborhood, and arrested him early Monday morning.
Grotberg is charged with second-degree kidnapping, second-degree attempted assault, fourth-degree assault, menacing and domestic violence.
