2 police officers arrested for leaking images of Rivera's remains on Web

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Two Mexican police officers have been arrested for allegedly leaking images of singer Jenni Rivera's remains on the Internet, TMZ reported.

Rivera, 43, was killed Sunday in a plane crash in Nuevo Leon state, along with six other people. A recording artist who sold 20 million albums worldwide, Rivera was also the mother of five children and a popular TV personality.

TMZ said her family is disgusted crash-scene video showing what little was left of her body, including her severed foot, are now on the Internet. They are working to have the disturbing images removed.

The celebrity news website did not identify the police officers who were arrested, nor did it say what websites posted the video.
