SAN ANTONIO, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- A Texas Bible study instructor was arrested and charged with distributing child pornography to an undercover officer, officials said.
Jacob Robert Holguin, 40, was arrested at his home Friday as part of an undercover operation based out of Ohio, which began in December, the San Antonio Express-News reported.
An FBI agent testified at a bail hearing for Holguin on Wednesday that Holguin chatted with an undercover officer, posing online as a 35-year-old mother of three. During the chat sessions, Holguin, under the name "friend of grimm," identified himself as a butcher and tried to get the officer to produce child pornography.
The FBI agent also testified that Holguin allegedly searched the Internet for minors "to rape" and that he once fondled a 15-year-old girl and took pictures of her private areas with his cellphone.
On July 25, "friend of grimm" sent several pornographic images of children to the undercover officer. The two then video-chatted via webcam, during which the officer took screen shots of "friend of grimm," which later were used to identify Holguin, an arrest affidavit stated.
Agents traced the user to Holguin's home and raided it Friday.
While being interviewed by authorities, Holguin, a Bible study instructor at Calvary Chapel in Universal City, allegedly admitted to trafficking child pornography and having a library of child porn saved on his computer, the affidavit stated.
Court testimonies showed that there was not evidence of wrongdoing during Holgiun's Bible study classes.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Pamela Mathy denied Holguin's bail request Wednesday.
