WASHINGTON, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- President Obama travels to New York Thursday to view damage from Superstorm Sandy and talk to residents and first responders, the White House said.
The daily schedule indicates Obama will:

-- Depart from the South Lawn and arrive at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
-- View storm damage, talk with citizens recovering from the storm and thank first responders.
-- Return to Washington.
-- Host cast and crew members of the film "Lincoln" for a screening at the White House.
