Toy trucks donated to honor boy's death

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Thousands of toy trucks are set to be donated to a children's Christmas charity in the name of a boy who was mauled to death at the Pittsburgh Zoo.

Maddox Derkosh, 2, died at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium Nov. 4 when he fell into the African painted dog exhibit and was mauled, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

His parents, Jason and Elizabeth Derkosh of Whitehall, asked that people donate toy trucks, Maddox's favorite toy, in his honor.

The trucks have arrived by the thousands at St. Bernard Church and at William Slater II Funeral Service in Scott in memory of Maddox.
