Several shot at Georgia fairgrounds

SAVANNAH, Ga., Nov. 4 (UPI) -- A shooting at the Coastal Empire Fairgrounds in Georgia sent several people to the hospital Saturday night, Savannah-Chatham police said.

The Savannah Morning News reported the number of victims had not been determined. Several people were taken into custody for questioning, the newspaper said.

Gunshots were reported about 10:30 p.m., police spokeswoman Julian Miller said.

There were several thousand people at the fairgrounds, the newspaper said.
