NASHVILLE, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Nashville police said they had little information in the deaths of three family members, leaving neighbors in the blue-collar neighborhood shocked and afraid.
Deborah Sullivan, 48, and her daughter Wendy, 26, were found in their West Nashville home Monday, dead with unspecified wounds. Her husband Patrick, 56, a carpenter, was found dead in a backyard shed, The (Nashville) Tennessean reported Tuesday.
"This has been a very, very quiet neighborhood," next-door neighbor Jean Sexton, 83, said "It [the incident] knocked us off our feet," adding she heard or saw nothing unusual until police cars arrived Monday afternoon.
She referred to the Sextons as a friendly family, and another neighbor, Connie Childress, said, "They were a nice family. They were always out either with their grandkids or their dogs."
The family's other daughter, who is 28, found the bodies in the home. Responding police officers found Patrick Sexton's body, the newspaper said.
Investigators have not named a suspect or confirmed how the victims died.
