Wife among victims in Wis. spa shooting

BROOKFIELD, Wis., Oct. 22 (UPI) -- The wife of a man who shot up a suburban Milwaukee day spa before killing himself was among the three women killed in the incident, officials said Monday.

The Waukesha County medical examiner's office identified the dead in the shooting at the Azana Salon Spa in Brookfield as gunman Radcliffe Haughton, 45, of Brown Deer; his wife, Zina Haughton, 42, who had a restraining order against him and worked at the spa; Cary L. Robuck, 35, of Racine; and Maelyn M. Lynd, 38, of Oconomowoc, a mother of four, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

Police said a gunman walked into spa and opened fire about 11 a.m. Sunday, killing the three women and injuring four others before turning the gun on himself.

Autopsies were still pending.

Police said they believe the alleged gunman targeted the salon because his estranged wife was an employee, CBS News reported.

Zina Haughton had recently obtained a four-year restraining order against her husband after he allegedly slashed her tires while she was at work, the Journal Sentinel reported.
