Romney: Obama has not helped women

CHESAPEAKE, Va., Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, campaigning Wednesday in Virginia, said President Obama has "failed America's women" and has no second-term agenda.

"I'm counting on you," Romney told a crowd of 3,500 at Tidewater Community College, WAVY-TV, Hampton Roads, reported.

"We have 20 days. I'm going to do everything in my power to get America back. I need your help," the former Massachusetts governor said.

"I have to be honest with you. I love these debates, you know, these things are great," Romney said, referring to the second presidential debate Tuesday. "I think it's interesting the president still doesn't have an agenda for the second term ...

"This president has failed America's women. They suffer in terms of getting jobs, in terms of falling into poverty. This is a presidency that has not helped America's women," he said.

Romney later campaigned in Leesburg, Va. The two candidates meet in their third and final debate Monday in Boca Raton, Fla.
