Fast food CEO gets jail time

SEVERNA PARK, Md., Oct. 11 (UPI) -- The former chief executive officer of a Maryland fast food franchise was sentenced to two years in prison for embezzling more than $885,000 from the company.

Mark Chandler Goodnow, 56, the former president and CEO of Wings to Go was sentenced Wednesday to two years in prison and was ordered to pay restitution for the money he stole from the company, The Baltimore Sun reported.

Goodnow was charged with wire fraud in connection with the embezzling when it was discovered that he used the money to pay for telephone sex and prostitutes between 2006 and 2012, prosecutors said.

Goodnow pleaded guilty to wire fraud in July.
