CHICAGO, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- A man was shot by another motorist as he drove onto Chicago's Dan Ryan Expressway, sending his vehicle crashing into parked cars and a store, police said.
Illinois State Police said Larry Porter, 25, was driving a black 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee south onto Interstate 94 late Wednesday night on the city's South Side when he was shot, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The vehicle veered off the 87th Street off-ramp and struck several parked cars and a business at a shopping mall. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 34-year-old passenger suffered a minor graze wound. A second passenger was unharmed.
