Man charged with raping teen on cruise

ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 22 (UPI) -- A Florida man has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenager during an alleged gang rape on board a Carnival cruise ship.

Casey Dickerson, 31, of Casselberry was arrested Monday on federal charges and is being held in the Orange County Jail without bail, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

The girl said she was raped in an extra cabin Dickerson had on the Carnival Sentinel. Dickerson and his wife had been moved to a new cabin after complaining about the noise in their first one but retained the key. She told investigators she and a friend went to the cabin with Dickerson and some teenage boys and was sexually assaulted while her friend was confined in the bathroom.

The boys allegedly said Dickerson told them to have sex with the girl. They have not yet been charged.

In an interview with WFTV in Orlando, Dickerson admitted buying alcohol for the teenagers but denied raping the girl.

"I'd rather not say," he responded when asked what happened in the room.
