Colo. theater victim suffers miscarriage

AURORA, Colo., July 29 (UPI) -- A pregnant woman who was among the victims wounded in the Colorado theater shooting suffered a miscarriage, her family said.

Ashley Moser, who lost her 6-year-old daughter in the July 20 shooting spree, was still recovering from multiple gunshot wounds when she lost her unborn child at Aurora Medical Center.

Twelve other people were killed in the shootings, including young Veronica Moser.

KMGH-TV, Denver, said the Moser family issued a written statement Saturday night saying Moser's wounds led to the miscarriage and thanked the hospital's medical team and the first responders who were at the theater.

The statement also asked for donations to help pay for Ashley's "lifetime of care."

The Denver Post said funeral arrangements for Veronica Moser were still pending this weekend.
