Video of missing Iowa girls discovered

EVANSDALE, Iowa, July 25 (UPI) -- Iowa authorities are studying surveillance video that includes a momentary view of two girls who disappeared July 13, police said Wednesday.

Elizabeth Collins, 8, and her cousin Lyric Cook, 10, are believed to be riding bicycles on the security video, taken the day of their disappearance, of an Evansdale, Iowa, auction house. Although the girls are a blur as they cross the frame, investigators can analyze it for any clues to their disappearance, ABC News said Wednesday, adding that the camera clock indicates they rode through the auction house property at 12:11 p.m.

Investigators said the girls left home shortly after noon on July 13, and although their bicycles were found four hours after they were reported missing, on a trail adjacent to a nearby lake, they have not been seen since.

Auction house owner Joe Pahl looked at the video and offered it to the FBI.

"Anything we can do to help," he said. "We want to see the girls come back safe and alive."
